01Forgotten No More
China now has the highest number of Alzheimer’s patients in the world, yet public awareness remains critically low, leaving many without timely interventions that could slow or even improve the disease’s progression. To address this, McCann Worldgroup Shanghai partnered with Hanyi to create HYAlzheimer, a font designed to raise awareness. Its fragmented style symbolizes the cognitive decline and memory loss central to Alzheimer’s, offering a powerful visual representation of the disease. Unlike traditional poster fonts, this editable font opens up extensive possibilities for diverse applications, enhancing its impact and fostering creative communication. As part of a social good initiative, the font is offered free of charge for Alzheimer’s-related projects, supporting prevention, research, and sparking hope through innovative design.
02The Power of Writing
In a bid to promote traditional culture and highlight the beauty of Chinese characters, Hanyi partnered with Weibo's Calligraphy Community to launch the inaugural Weibo Calligraphy Contest: The Power of Writing. Within just two weeks of online promotion, the campaign garnered exceptional engagement, attracting 160 million views and 430,000 comments and posts. The initiative was further amplified by support from the Communist Youth League's official account, @共青团中央, and influential celebrities such as Ren Jialun (Allen Ren) and Wang Ju, whose campaign videos surpassed one million views. The contest received nearly 5,000 original submissions, showcasing a diverse range of creative talent. A distinguished panel of six experts ensured a fair and authoritative judging process.
03Hanyi Design Clinic
As the official font partner of the 2018 International Conference on Experience Design (IXDC), Hanyi launched the themed exhibition "Caring for Designers: Hanyi Design Clinic". This initiative, co-organized with Ma Ying Long, BAWANG, Playboy, and HelloFont, represented a dynamic co-branding partnership, offering a unique platform for designers to explore Hanyi’s innovative font solutions while infusing the brand with a youthful, vibrant image. At the same time, it provided a strategic opportunity for partner brands to engage directly with the design community.
04Mobile Sogou Input Skin Design Contest
Hanyi partnered with Sogou Input to launch the Mobile Sogou Input Skin Design Contest, an open invitation for both professional designers and emerging talents. Participants were encouraged to submit their designs through the platform, adhering to design specifications for a chance to be shortlisted. Leveraging its brand influence, Hanyi directly engaged with the design community, offering participants the opportunity to explore the vital role of fonts in creative expression.
